Can you give me a free estimate?
Yes! We provide free estimates for all projects.
Do you offer warranties for mold remediation work?
We provide a 30-year written, transferrable warranty. Please note that terms and conditions apply.
Why do I need to remove water after a flood or water damage event?
If water infiltrates your property, you need to take immediate action. Doing so will prevent additional damage while preventing your insurer from denying your claim due to inaction.
How can I tell if I need to schedule mold testing?
Some of the most common signs of mold include white growth circles on furniture, a musty smell, black spots on your HVAC vents and bathroom ceilings, water leak stains, and high humidity levels in your home or crawl space. Call us if you notice any of these signs.
What does the mold removal process involve?
We start by isolating the contaminated area under negative pressure. Then, we remove the affected materials and dry them out, if needed. After that, we apply an anti-microbial disinfectant, wipe down all the surfaces, and scrub the air. For most projects, this takes between two and three days.
What makes our water damage services different?
We guarantee that when you file a covered loss with your insurance company, you won’t be charged any out-of-pocket expenses from us. When you call us for help, we will respond in 60 minutes or less.
Why should I encapsulate my crawlspace?
Encapsulating your crawlspace is one of the most effective ways to control moisture levels in your crawlspace. It can also help you manage humidity levels in your home.
How often should I clean my air ducts?
We recommend having your air ducts cleaned every three to five years. If you neglect this service, you could compromise your home’s air quality and limit your HVAC system’s efficiency.
How can I prevent water damage in my home?
Unattended homes are more likely to sustain severe water damage. When you go out of town, turn your water off.
What kind of eco-friendly or non-toxic products do you use to remediate mold?
We use an EPA-registered botanical disinfectant. The registration number for this product is 84683-3.
Do you hold any industry certifications or qualifications?
Yes! Our technicians hold certifications for mold testing, mold remediation, and water damage through the IICRC.
Do you always need professional help with mold problems?
In most cases, you should leave mold remediation to a professional. This process requires specialized equipment and training to be done properly.
What are the benefits of crawlspace encapsulation?
You can minimize the chances of pest infestations, wood rot, and poor indoor air quality by encapsulating your crawlspace. Controlling moisture can also prevent flooring damage and mold growth.
Are some types of air ducts or HVAC systems more prone to mold growth?
In our experience, any type of ductwork is susceptible to mold growth. Poorly installed ductwork is more likely to accumulate condensation, however. Make sure that you do not obstruct your air ducts or returns with large objects, like furniture.
What can I do to minimize the risk of mold growth?
We suggest keeping the relative humidity level in your home at 55% or less. If a water leak happens, contact us as soon as possible to prevent any further damage.
Do you offer any maintenance plans?
Yes! We offer a 30-year warranty for encapsulated crawlspaces. We also provide a 30-year warranty on any interior structural wood components where an antimicrobial coating was applied.
Can you experience health issues due to mold exposure?
We suggest talking to your doctor if you have any health concerns. Do not rely on any advice from someone other than a professional licensed to practice medicine.
Why do I need to address mold problems quickly?
If you do not take care of mold quickly, the mold will spread. It could even cross contaminate and affect other areas of your home or workspace.
